Something about this piece really got my attention. At first quick glance, it looks a bit scribbled and like the proportions are really off, but then I looked again and I saw how beautifully stylized the face is, the highlights in the eyes, the interesting use of lines and different color to shade the face. The lips are also quite striking. What I might improve on this is the shading in the neck, use more detail and contrast in the hair, and tweak the proportions a little, though that might be an artistic decision that had nothing to do with correct anatomy. If you were to fix up the proprotions, I would bring the chin down a bit and make the lips a bit thicker and wider so that they are closer to the center of her eyes. But all in all, this is a very creative piece with a lot of emotion emphasized by the use of color.
interesting and striking piece maybe its more the emotional shades of your teacher here.. either way its a very for what of a much better expression " in ya face" Art strong and vibrant in a heavy contrasting way it has a kinda dark edge to it too and perhaps thats how we all perceive teachers as being knowledgeable and dominant in our childhood so a kinda hang over as we grow up
Great art I like how the eyes kinda are penetrating your being
